About
Ravenwood Golf Club is situated in the Finger Lakes region in western New York. It's one of the most popular public championship courses in the Rochester region. Robin Nelson designed the course in 2002. He utilized the gently undulating landscape to seamlessly connect the holes to one another so that the whole golf course has a natural flow. The front nine is gentler than the back, where the par 3s present formidable tests. The water hazards on the back are particularly challenging. The golf course finishes with one of its most memorable holes. Ravenwood's par-5 18th has a green that's tucked into the woods with the hill behind it forming a natural amphitheater. A challenging array of seven strategically placed bunkers guards the green and approach area.

Great golf course
Raven is a great course to play. Wide-open but challenging. course conditions are great greens are beautiful to putt on. Hitting out of bonkers is a lot of fun because the sand is high-quality and well-maintained.
Ravenwood is a great golf course by any measure.
I have been playing Ravenwood since it opened in 2000 and it has only got better. The course is terrific, and the range too. I highly recommend it.
Better than most private courses!
Consistently my favorite course in the Rochester area (other than the legendary Oak Hill but that is off limits for most of us normal folks:-)
This course is almost always in great shape, bunkers raked and excellent sand, greens roll true. This course has a variety that you will not get tired of.
Jim S and Mike R do a fantastic job, always friendly, & helpful & welcoming. If you want a country club experience (in my opinion better than that) come here to Ravenwood. Really a wonderful spot for golf.
Worth the drive
Excellent physility. Private course conditions for the public. Greens are smooth , fairways are wide and lack of trees makes finding your ball easy in the fall. Course is in great shape this time of year only means it was better during the summer. Got a great deal on golf.com, will defenitely be back next season.

Flat greens sometimes don't hold ball coming in low.
Lot's of chipping from back of gree.
Ravenwood
I always wanted to play Ravenwood. It is a little pricey. I took advantage of this great offer from GolfNow. I loved the course. I will play again. I will be looking for more offers.
Pricy
I never go to this course unless there is a good afternoon deal or seasonal deal. Riding a cart on a weekend in the summer I think they get you for $75 or $80, so by the end of the round you will have probably spent 100 with food/drinks. if u can get out there uring a discount time do it because this course is well maintained and layout is pretty fun.
Outstanding golf facility!
Always enjoyable, would play there more often if I lived closer. Everything about the course is first class, especially for a public facility.
Good value
Fifth time I've played the course; it's always in excellent condition. If you're in the area and looking to play golf, you should definitely go there. And if you get a deal on golf now like I did, it's a "must".
Excellent value for your money
Course was in excellent condition and is an excellent value for the money.
Pace of play was poor, group of 4 in front of us were 2 to 3 holes behind the group in front on them in the first 9 holes. We saw a marshall once or twice but didn't stop to talk to us or the group in front to pick up the pace. Group released they were slow and let us through on 10th tee. We flew around the back nine.
Also ordered food from cart on 8th holes, got to halfway house but didn't receive the order.
Course Still Plays Great
We have played this course many times when we visit. The course is in excellent shape, the pace of play was good and there is a good variety of tees to play. Varied and interesting holes.
Great course
The staff was amazing! Super friendly and very accommodating! Recommend everyone should try this course. Hard but fair! Watch out for the long stuff you will not find your ball.
Excellent!
From the drive up to the course I knew this was going to be a great place to play. The attendant came to me since I didn't bother to stop at the bag drop and was very friendly. He told me I would love the place and he was right. The course was in excellent condition and service was expedient and friendly. Had a good breakfast sandwich before the round and hit the range. We started off the back and got in the 9 holes just over 1.5 hours, but at the turn we got held up on number 1 even though the marshall held the tee for us as a twosome. After the eleventh hole we paired up with another twosome and really enjoyed the round from there as the pace didn't seem as slow. This course is a must since it is very fair as long as you don't miss the generous fairways by too much.

First time at this course. Was a fabulous experience.
Course was in superb shape. Best maintained couse I have seen in some time. Excellent conditions all around. Certainly would recommend and will definitely make it a regular course to play.

The raven
This course was in great condition. I come to western New York ever summer and my brother in law takes me to all the different golf courses in the area. He made a tee time at ravenwood. I looked it up on golfnow and it was a 25 dollar price difference so he canceled the one he made and I booked golfnow. The course was the best I've played in years. Fairways and greens was just like I see on TV when the pros play! I was very impressed and will tell everyone back in Florida about this course. Tee to green best I've seen in a while. BTW we drove over an hour to get to this course. It was worth it...
