Great Rock Golf Club
About
Opened in 2001, Great Rock Golf Club is one of the newer golf clubs in Long Island but it feels much older thanks to its scenic landscape of rolling green hills covered with mature forests. The mountainous landscape provides plenty of elevation changes that make it difficult to find a flat lie. At 6,254 yards, the course is short but it is still a challenging round with narrow, tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy. There is hardly any water on the golf course but with strategically placed bunkers, sidehill lies, and towering trees to contend with, golfers will hardly notice the absence of water hazards. Great Rock's signature hole is the challenging 10th. This par-4 beast is a double uphill climb with a seemingly flat green, but if you read it that way, you're in for some trouble.

goling at great rock
everything was good however the greens need a little work but fast and still good to play
Beautiful course
A beautiful course nicely maintained challenging and really fun to play in the greens are in great condition but beware the’re fast !
Great Day
Great course! Greens are perfect right now and you can’t beat the layout. The price is VERY fair. See you guys soon!
Good value
Course was dry, but played well.
Restaurant staff was great
No need for boredom
Played recently with 2 out of State brother in laws and a nephew who have never played the course and they loved the place. I warned them that the greens are usually hard and fast and the yardage from the white tees was good for some of the old fellows . I told them to save some strength for #10. All liked the elevated tee boxes on some holes and no sign of any OB private condos to worry about. We all parred #18 which was a nice way to finish. This course is already in my Suffolk County rotation and was a great experience for my foursome
US Open break
Played with my son. The course was open. No one pushing nor did we wait for anyone. Greens rolled true. Beautiful course. Enjoyed our day. Would highly recommend.
Fun Round on Grest Layout
This course is a fun course to play with undulations , bunkers, doglegs left and right, and just enough length to challenge you with many of the club's in your bag. The greens were smooth, but just a bit inconsistent being slower on the front nine than on the back. We played at a very good pace as a twosome finishing in just slightly over 3 and a quarter hours. The par 3s are challenging as is the rest of the layout. The gentleman in the pro shop was the starter also. He and the cart attendant were both very friendly. We Had fun today and will be back, hopefully very soon.
Great Rock Golf Course
Nice golf course. On the short side distance wise. Course in good condition. Fairly hilly and nice to play. Not challenging enough for low handicapers.
Getting Much Better
Played here 2 years ago, and once last year. This is best the course has been in a long time. I can see that they are trying to create a great atmosphere here. it is working!!
Nice, short, tough course
This is the first time playing this course and it did not disappoint. From the tips it's 6.254 yards. Though it was unusually busy, we still played a 4 1/2 hour round. Great course layout; greens are SUPER FAST! Hopefully they will slow up as the season goes on. I highly recommend this course
Great Track on North Shore of Long Island
One of the more challenging courses on the North Shore of Long Island. Great Track for the value! Fast greens that roll true. Played dozens of times. Nice character!
Great Rock
Scenic course in Wading River, with diverse routing and many elevation changes. Course in great condition for spring with greens rolling consistent. Good challenge and good value. Eagled last hole for an even par 71.
Great Rock
The course in great shape! The greens a little slow due to all the rain we had. Normally faster! Playing from the tips were challenging. The rough is growing in nice. The only knock was. I waited for a starter to get me a cart. He was no where to be found. I like how there doing a golfers special at the resteraunt now if you show your recipet. You get 1 beer and food choice for set price. There is a par 4 on this course which is long par 4 and always tuff. Greens fee is a good deal on Golf Now.
