Reviews
Tough Executive Track
First one playing this course today. Conditions were not ideal with a very high amount of rain the previous week. Very wet, and a lack of drainage.
The layout of the course is very tight. Tight fairways, lots of large traps, and water on every corner.
The things really lacking however are the clubhouse, food situation, and tee boxes.
Clubhouse- might as well be non-existent
Food- $9 hotdog, $14 turkey wrap...no thank you.
Tee boxes- undulating to say the least. Not very flat and definitely not level.
ALL THAT BEING SAID- I would play this course again. Very challenging with tons of large moguls, great scenery, and challenging pin placement.
For the price can’t beat it.
Played this course for 15$ so really could not complain. A lot of water I think 7/9 holes had water obstacles. Kind of narrow as well but staff was friendly and I had fun.
Great Course
This time of the year I don’t expect much in terms of conditions on the course, but Doral’s fairways were in excellent shape and the greens were decent too, bunkers in great shape. The layout of the course was unique and challenging at some holes. Staff was great, I forgot to get the name of the guy that helped me, but I think it was the pro and he was friendly. I’ll definitley be coming back. Just need to come for days with good rates.
Under Repair
The course is a nice 9-hole with several challenging holes were you need to be precise with your shots. The pace of play was nice and staff was on-hand is friendly/helpful. I will definitely return for another round in the future.
Unfortunately the practice area is closed (grounds under repair) and there are several spots throughout the course which took a beating from the rains which will require to pickup & drop. I’d say the course will be a nice play come lateMay/early June.
First Time on Course
The course would have been great to play under better conditions. It was saturated and almost unplayable. It really should have been closed. That being said the layout is great and demands straight shooting and a good short games. There are many holes over water so you have to have a gps to determine yards to the green. I will play again under better conditions.
I love Arrowood
This is a very nice well maintained course. You can play 9 or 18 by playing the course twice. I always enjoy playing Arrowood
Water please
The course is good for beginners. 3,000 yards from the back of every tee. If you hit it over 285 you can not use driver here. Especially if you tend to spray it. I use 3 wood and 3 hybrid here and they are plenty. Course was wet. Greens are always a touch slow. But they usually are smooth. Only bug about this course is there is no water on the course. Not even a water fountain. 92 degrees today. Not a bad course for the golf now hot deal. I always enjoy my time here.
hot as ....
Rained out Saturday played on Sunday hot ,hot, hot no water on course except as hazards cart path only course still very wet so I understand.but too hot to do all that walking. beautiful course will return when weather is cooler and the course is more playable.
Very good if tweaks were made
Really loved the course layout, honestly one of the better ones in the area. Very much enjoyed the 9 hole layout.
We purchased 18 holes but only played 9. The front played at a decent pace 2hrs 10 min but when we made the turn to play the back 9 there were 10 people waiting on the 1st tee. Not willing to play a 3 1/2 hour back 9 we decided to call it a day. They really could use a better system for working out the tee off schedule.
Greens were in good shape, a little slow but loved the breaks and layout of them
The got hit pretty hard with some rain issues lately so there were some bad spots on the course but you can tell they typically keep it in good shape.
NEED TO FIX - there is no water out on the course or water fountain at club house. Need to have something available for people, especially on 90 degree day like we played on.
Bad conditions
I play at this course a lot during the golf season and I am usually very happy with the conditions. Today the course was very wet and very understandable because of the amount of rain we’ve had over the last couple days. But there were cart tracks everywhere and divots beyond belief that we’re not fixed. The greens were extremely soft with ball marks and spike marks everywhere. It made it very difficult to putt. Our tee time was 3 pm but the starter told me they had about 76 pairings go out before 12:00???? How is that possible. With a wet course it should have been cart path only and people need to learn how to fix their own ball marks. I tried to fix as many as I could on every green but it was a mine field. I will play here again but I was very disappointed in the conditions.
Nice Layout
First time playing this course. A nine hole course that you can twice. The courses was terrifically manicured and country club like greens. If you get a chance give it a shot.
Short but scenic
Short but tricky course with beautiful views and elevation changes. Greens were slow and bumpy. Price was great at $40 and pace of play at a 3 hour 18 hole round is unbeatable.
Good value for the price.
Very challanging , fun , makes you think about each and every shot.
Bring your A game
Play the Blues if you are single-digit, otherwise swallow your pride and play the Whites. Postage Stamp-sized greens, narrow fairways, thick second cut, water everywhere and many treacherous sand traps. It's like a miniature Blue Monster at Trump Doal in Florida. LoDs of fun and challenge.
Water, water, everywhere, Nor any drop to drink.
A challenging course in Westchester. This is a tough course with water hazards on 7/9 holes ( you play the same nine holes twice) and many doglegs . Also a very tall rough with large amount of grass clippings made finding you ball in the rough very hard. If you're not consistently on the fairway, this is a very frustrating course. To further complicate the round, on a 90 degree day, there was no drinking water on the course, no water on the cart, and no mention at the start of the round to buy water in the pro shop.
