Too muddy
After snow fall last week, the course should not been opened again. Too muddy and especially carts und such conditions
Great value for the money
I’ve played almost every public course in the greater Rochester area and you cannot beat this course for the money. Well maintained courses from the tee boxes to the greens. The greens role true and are in great shape. Would absolutely recommend to anyone else.
Great Day
First time playing the Island course. Try to break 100 wherever I go, shot a 99, so not too easy not too tough. Par fives are scorable. Fun par 3's. Friendly staff, challenging fun course was in great shape, great views and clubhouse.. Super warm weather day in November. 4.5 hour round with foursome. Never waited. Glad I played with folks who knew the course and could direct me on holes. I thought tough walk, especially the back, but I'm not in the greatest shape. Walked and carried the front and jumped in a cart for the back, glad I did. Hills and some distance between Green and Tee. Can't wait to play it again. Beautiful 25 minute country drive to get there and will definitely be back. (Pines course much easier walk but less fun).
First time at Lima. Very friendly staff. Beautiful course in great shape. Greens were smooth and fast! Didn’t stay for good and beer after, which is unusual, but some in our 4 some had to . Really glad we went to Lima CC!
Vacation Golf Spot
Great layout and experience for the price point. Path carts and wood structures need some attention and some clarifying signage would make this course really great.
Fantastic
One of the best hidden gems in the Rochester area. Course always in great condition and very affordable prices! Love coming here to play.
Great Day on the Course
Challenging layout requires you to use all clubs
Greens were soft and receptive putts rolled true
Played the Island Oaks 18 and consider this a Hidden gem
Great Layout
Friendly staff.
Course is challenging and was in reasonable condition considering a lack of recent rain. Cart paths were not in good condition.
Greens were rolling nicely
I had absolutely beautiful weather for today’s round. The course was in good shape and the greens held nicely and rolled very well. They were actually pretty quick. The greens have some gentle slopes that you really have to look at as the putts will break quite a bit as the ball slows so you better play enough break. There’s a few holes that I made a mental note for the next time there - keep the ball below the hole. A couple of tees were beat up pretty good but all in all the tees and fairways were well watered and in good shape. It was nice to play from the rough as it wasn’t like some other courses that I have played that were full of crab grass. Lima’s rough was nice grass.
Very disappointed. We tried to contact GolfNow multiple times with no success as we couldn’t play the course due to weather condition. The course couldn’t give us a rain check credit since we bought the deal with GolfNow.
Not bad
This course is out in the middle of nowhere. Used to be a farm, it looks like. The terrain is interesting on a few holes, not so much on others. Greens are in great shape while the fairways are nothing special. Shaggy conditions overall. That all said, it’s a fun course to play for relatively low green fee.
