Located in Waverly, the Club at Shepard Hills is one of the region's finest golf courses. Its central location in the Finger Lakes region is easily accessible from Binghamton and Ithaca, N.Y. as well as Athens and Sayre, Pa. The golf course first opened in 1914 but its traditional layout has withstood the test of time. The course has several holes that are known for both their scenery and the level of difficulty. The layout features undulating greens and some fairways that are tight and others that are wide open. A total of 57 bunkers are strategically placed along the landing zones and you'll also encounter water on several holes. Accuracy is essential on this tough golf course. You'll most likely find yourself using all the clubs in your bag.

I think at one time this was probably a pretty decent club. Some of the greens were in fantastic shape while others were a little chewed up. Same with the fairways. A little TLC could have this course in a lot better shape. That being said, it was a fun course. You will use all the clubs in your bag. A course that you should play more than once because there are a few blind shots. Definitely worth a look.
