You can score if you hit it the right places
Pretty straight forward course. Green complexes are right next to the tee boxes so it’s easy to navigate. Water doesn’t seem to come into play if you’re long off the tee. Course was in great shape when I played.
Great Round
Lots of rain overnight and in the AM prior to 12:00 start time. Because of this the course was fairly empty so never had to wait to hit a shot. Despite all the rain, and while some of the fairways had a good amount of water, the greens were excellent as they drain very well. Overall conditions are excellent!
Easy course
Fun round. Good pace of play. No rangers that I saw. Tees off at 730
Good value
Nice course. Challenging enough. Greens are still not perfect but its still early in the season for northern golf. Definitely not as fast as I remember them to be from years past but still very enjoyable round. Staff is friendly. Love the serenity of the surroundings. You may even be greeted by a beaver or deer on the back nine.
Swan Lake Golf Club
The greens are still bad! You putt the ball and it still hops. Hopefully the greens get better soon. Fairways and rough is great condition. Playing from the tips is alot far back now. Total track is now 7200 yards wow!
alot of grass but greens filled with Poa annua, which made them almost unputtable. Hit and hope.
Hidden Gem
Absolutely beautiful course. Always in terrific shape. Love playing there!
Nice Spring Day At Swan Lake
The fairways were in excellent shape. Greens were a bit bumpy. But the grass starting to come thru. Track is always fun to play. It keeps testing your driver time and time again.Track is long from the blues. Long par 3s and par 5s. Par 4s are long as well. Some tuff pin placement as well. Good thing about this course is its wide open. Definely will be back.Give the greens a couple more weeks. They will be running excellent.
First round of the year. Course was in good shape considering the extended winter season. The greens were very bumpy. The sand traps were like beach sand with rocks and pebbles. Needed more ball washers.
Good time
Had a good time as we always do when we play here. Pro shop told us about the slower party that had taken awhile and advised us to start the back 9 first so we werent waiting. Always a nice course. Cant wait for warmer weather.
Very Nice Course
Considering the time of year this course was in very good condition. Pace of play was excellent as we played the round in less than 4 hours. Fairways and tee boxes in good condition. Greens were a little bumpy. A very enjoyable round of golf and if you haven't played this one,you should give a try.
One of my favorites
This course is one of my favorites with a very nice layout. Wish it were closer to my house ! The main problem with this course is that it borders wooded areas that have a boatload of deer . So , with deer you get deer TICKS that I have found on myself as well as other friends that I play with even in February. It seams that these little blood sucking parasites are becoming more and more resilient even to the colder weather . My advice as a golfer and a hunter and a resident of Suffolk county is to make sure you use a good tick spray on your clothing before you go out . I don’t believe that they spray the golf course with anything to try to protect its patrons ; So , take the time to protect yourself !
Rare February Golf
Nice day to get out on the course! 63 degrees in February is great! The staff was friendly. Greens were bumpy but expected for winter. Course is great challenge for driver and approach shots. Long par 3s and short 4s and long 5 pars.
Course has a great flow
Over the last 2 years, Swan Lake has become my favorite course to play. It is laid out nicely and is challenging enough to test my driver. The staff is great and during the off season they take 20 percent off your lunch tab with a free drink. Can’t ask for much more than that.
Ahhh winter golf
Can't beat 45-50 degrees in January! Course was in good shape with 11 pins Frozen in the cups! For the money you could never beat it... Hot deal for $12
One of great golf course in LI
It was cold weather but the course was in good condition.
Great Course
This course was in excellent condition from the tee boxes, fairways and greens. Greens ran quick and true. The leaves were virtually non-existent. The pace of play was very quick as we felt we had the course to our selves that day. The gentleman in the Pro shop was very accommodating and made sure our round was up to standards. If you haven't tried this course I strongly suggest you do.
