Slow pace of play
People do not have any consideration about the pace of play. It’s like that on most public courses on Long Island. A 5 hour round is too slow

Great Day
The weather forecast was for 80 in April. Had to get out
I was a s\ingle. The starter was great, worked with me to get me out as soon as there was an opening. The other golfers on the course were golfers, lost balls were not picked up. The course was in good condition.

Dry track
Great layout, but very dry with no recent rain or watering. Balls rolling all over the place and off the greens. Greens were recently aerated but still fine to play on. Sand traps have new sand!

Nice layout
Nice layout with challenging, narrow holes. Grass not growing yet as it is early spring, but the course was in good condition. Very walkable. Nice clubhouse/facilities.

Good shape
March conditions in NY can be pretty rough. The greens were very smooth and playable. Traps need to be maintained better. Once growing season arrives the course should be top shelf. There are some bare spots from winter that should get some attention.
