Good value
First few holes a were straight and basic, but there were other holes that were interesting and challenging. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a good value for the price, I expect to play there again.
Challenging couse, but not too long.
Tight fairways and multiple hazards each hole made for a good challenge. Course was in very good shape especially the greens and fairways. Cart paths could use some repair for pot holes, etc. but otherwise the course was very playable. Also the bugs were not a problem during our round, even in the swamp areas.
Awesome back nine
Greens were in excellent condition. Pace of play was horrible due to a couple of foursomes ahead had new golfers learning the game.
mixed bag
The front 9 is a confidence builder, flat not too long and fairly easy. The back 9 is much more contour and trouble. There is a 545 yard par 5 that requires 150 yards or 230 all carry yards. The pond that lies in the landing area for a 180 to 230 yard drive is just wrong in my opinion. I had to hit a 6 iron to keep in play.
Value near a Resort town.
A Nice old build front nine, with a different look on the back. Played very well. Some blind tee shots from the tips. Play to the greens was challenging. The greens played slow on the front and seemed faster on the back, but that could just be later in the day drying. Fun.
Inexpensive and Fun Course
This course is good for the 20+ handicap golfer that likes an open layout and a good value. The lower handicap golfers might be a little frustrated with this course at times due to the inconsistency of the mowing. It was a little wet when we played there but the course was still in reasonable condition and the greens were in very good shape. The rest of the course was ok. Give it a try!
