Kissena Park Golf Course is so much fun. So many Challenging Par3s. It's a bit shorter but a very fun place To play!
Condition
Condition through the green was good.
Par 3 holes all challenging. Greens surprisingly good for February. Course has good drainage and was dry considering recent rain.
Peripheral bramble needs cleanup and cart paths a need safe repairs.
I’ve played this short course many time and enjoy it.
Short course with the worst pace of play I’ve ever seen
Played a FIVE AND A HALF hour round in the dead of winter. I’ve played the course before and knew it was nothing special but figured I would get some swings in between a couple cold stretches. Waited 10 minutes between every swing. This course could take 3 hours with no one in front of you yet we were pressed to make it to 18 before it got dark. Clearly overly greedy owners selling too many tee times and not using any of that money to pay someone to maintain pace of play.
Enjoyable, but keep vigilant.
The course was great for us, moderate players who worry about keeping it on the fairway and don't hit 200+ yd drives. So we got through it in decent time, and keeping great pace with those in front and behind so there was never any holdups. But, the short course also means holes are right on top of each other, so don't take your eyes off other players for too long, we almost got hit multiple times by errant balls. Also the greens are in rough condition, really fast, small, and sloped, so plan on a few extra strokes. Overall would play again.
Low maintenance golf course
The golf course and greens are littered with broken twigs and branches.
Good tough lil course.
Nice course - tough par 3's. Good pace of play. Great price
In rough shape - not a great value
Course was crowded but the pace wasn't bad. Tee boxes were the worst I've seen. Mostly dirt and sand with minimal grass. Cart paths were broken up with huge potholes. Greens and fairways were in decent shape. Layout is interesting and course could be fun with a little money and TLC put into it. Not a great value if I'm spending $80 including a cart for a weekend tee time.
Swingmax
It’s a good local course for practice and walking exercise
I'm back
Played the course, years ago. Not memorable in a positive way.
Yesterday, makes say I'll be back soon. It was a fun, interesting, well maintained course. Personable folks play there too.
Usually NOT worth the money for a Par 3 course
I have been playing this course since 2008 and the greens always have been a bit patchy, the fairways are shoddy and burnt up like any park grass in the Queens are and the pace of play is usually slow because of all the par 3's,
Saturday was a bit different. For first time we had a starter that was cordial and was apologetic for the 25 min delay, we had fairways that were pristine and the greens were perfect. I imagine that with all the rain we have had the past 2 months, the course was able to heal itself. Hopefully this becomes the norm at Kissena and I'll be happy to pay that amount of money.
Nice and cozy child course
It’s great to have this golf space in the middle of Brooklyn neighborhood. So convenient for people lives in Brooklyn and even in Manhattan. They keep the green nice and staffs are very friendly.
This course has Great features
Greens and fairways were excellent! All holes are interesting and challenging
