Typical public course
The white course is pretty straightforward with no surprises, hazards etc. The adjoining fairways can be a bit hectic with balls flying in from errant tee shot. And with that you can usually find any off target balls. They have double par 3 holes to speed up play.
The greens are all elevated with front bunkers. There were a few greens that were a complete mess. The grass is dead in various spots and any putts going through this stuff is bouncing left and right.
Pace of play is minimum 4.5 hrs. The staff is nice enough and never gives me any reasons to complain.
While they do not have a cart-girl riding around with food and drinks they do have vending areas.
good layout,poorly maintained
I played on a warm spring day.basically walked right on the tee.I was quite disappointed with the condition of this course.most of the tees had areas with no grass.almost all of the greens had large bare spots as well.bunkers were missing rakes, and were also poorly maintained.Just an overall bad experience.
Good course
Course was in good shape for this time of year. The pace of play was too slow. Group ahead of us had one female who chose to hit off white tee, and was hitting only 100 yards on drives.
Nice public course
I liked the course very much. Played in the afternoon and there wasnt any waiting at each hole. Played as a double but joined a single. I'd go back again for sure.
slow play
very slow play as i play this course once a week this round took very long 5 + hours
Red course excellent design,moderately repetitive
Mature course in good shape !greens protected by significant bunkers ,however,Sand in collection area of traps is scant and base is hard ,most sand seems raked to face and sides.Greens in good shape, pleasant speed.I'm very senior and played White tees.Blue tees over 7000 appear to be a challenge.
Very nice course, no great course
I enjoyed the course a lot, played from the tips had a great time, moved at a good pace in a threesome. Only problem was the bunkers are not addressed as far raking. The greens were huge and challenging, I love the dual par 3's, quite a nice idea. I highly recommend this course.
worth playing
the course played a little slow so prepare for 5 hours and that was during the week.
Elevated greens tricky
Course is in great condition fairways, greens and ruff
White Course
Course is gimmicky...Broing course design. Each green is the same...elevated with numerous sand traps in front.
Course
Course was in better shape. The greens are bumpy. The worst part was the slow play even on a Monday afternoon!
A good public course
For spring the course and greens are in good shape. Facilities are in poor conditions and needs a remake
terrible bunkers
The course is flat, with no water hazards, so bunkering is the primary challenge. Greens were very nice, and the hole design was just fine, but the condition of the bunkers was terrible. Rocky, inconsistent. Disappointing on a course in which the bunkers are pivotal.
Very disappointed
I had big expectations - I've read a lot about the Red course, how they played PGA round there, how the White course was designed by somebody famous. I played the White course. First, the place is very crowded, 80% are walking (exercising or cheap?). Took us 6 hours to finish. All holes are strait, no water hazards, no dog legs, no uphills or downhills. Very boring. All greens are identical - elevated with two sand traps in front. You may play just the same hall over and over - no difference. And on the top of all they turned on the sprinklers half way thru our game. Have you ever hit a ball from a socked fairway under the sprinklers? Our main goal was to avoid the falling water (and I was complaining about the lack of water hazards!). By far the worst golf course I've ever played.
Sprinklers need better timing
The course was well maintained, however the sprinklers were going off sporadically throughout the 18 holes and we left soaked. There were only vending machines available at the front of the course and no amenities easily accessible during play as is available in every other course. If the sprinklers stopped going off during the most inopportune times throughout the game, it would have been a better experience. Definitely not worth the cost paid.
great find on golfnow
We were able to get off before our scheduled tee time and the course was wide open. Greens and Fairways were in great shape. Staff members were pleasant and helpful.
course has great features
Pace of play was slow, but expected that on a Saturday at 1pm. Otherwise, course is in good condition.
There are three water hazards all back to back, 14, 15, and 16 you are wrong.
