Heatherwood Golf Club
About
Heatherwood Golf Club is the sister course to the Pine Hills Country Club, which is a 30-minute drive away in Manorville. It is a short golf course at a little over 4,000 yards but the layout offers excellent short game practice. It is also a good test of your iron play. There are no par 5s but the golf course has an interesting variety of reachable par 4s and challenging par 3s. Mature trees are abundant throughout the course, specifically concentrated along the fairways. One of the most unique holes is the 11th, which features an optical illusion that causes players to line up in a way that makes their balls go to the right. The trick is to adjust your stance slightly left but even if you are still off the green is mercifully large and forgiving.

Enjoyable Executive 18
I play here a few times a year, especially when playing with beginners. The par threes outnumber the fours and fives, but the few long holes are varied and enjoyable. Course was in great shape (not surprizing due to recent rain.) We like playing very early (second or third tee off time) to avoid the delays common at most public courses. Long hitters will be disappointed that they can only use driver on a few holes. I enjoy the multiple par threes to sharpen my short game. Plenty of variety based on where you may land. On weekends a hot dog truck parks on the course and the offerings are pretty good.
No food
Bring food. Pace is very slow and by 1:00 on a sunday there was 1 hot dog left and 2 hamburgers
Great day
The grounds crew was hard at work and it showed. The place was in great shape.
Good course for the money
Good course for the money tee boxes little beat up fairways and greens in very good shape
4th of July
It was a hot one. 3:20 hour round. I hope they never build the condos.
Asphalt Cart paths poor condition.
Course needs serious asphalt repair to cart path at hole 9, steep and dangerous.
Action required ASAP.
Very nice layout, and pace.
Please continue to advise of any available tee time in the $25 to $30 fee range.
Would also be interested in 9 hole rates if available with cart.
The round took about 4& one half hours which was a bit long fo me.
I was in a good moveing three some with very little wait time.
Thank you,
Joe Ferrara
Not your normal golf course
First, let me say that this course is nicely maintained and kept long in the rough. It does have its challenges for the average golfer. Its basically a challanging par 3 course. It has some par 4’s but it is a 60 par. It doesnt have any long par 5’s or even long par 4’s for that matter. There are no blue or black tees. They do have a blue stake area that is further back, but those tee areas are not very well maintained. And some of the tree branches overhang leaving your shots 50/50. All the sand traps are beautifally mintained and the greens are very approachable and run semi fast. I do wish the maintanance staff would not allow carts to roam the entire course (right up to the green), as it beats down the areas around the greens. They should rope off and force carts to sides within 50 yards of greens. With all of that said, it is definitely worth the money and is a fun, short course with plenty of practice opportunity for your short game. I would recommend this course to anyone, but just know if is not your typical par 72 course.
Gem
Heatherwood is a gem. Not too long not too short. Challenging holes. Course was in excellent shape considering the winter we've had. Greens were perfect, although I wasn't.
Staff, starter, grounds keepers were all friendly and were out there keeping up with course.
The day we played it was 37 with a wind, cold. Some sand traps were actually frozen, secret? Don't hit into the sand.
Love this course.
Hate to think that this great course will disappear in the next few years. Enjoy playing there.
