Excellent experience
Staff was great. Place was very clean and fairways were well maintained - even after the storm! Worth the price for a beautiful public course with amazing views and challenging play.
It’s alright
Not worth 100 it’s a good layout. Fairways are decent. Greens are inconsistent and have a million ball marks. Some tee boxes are uneven and almost weird. It’s alright course. Not worth a 100. If u get out for 60. I’d say go for it
Not What I Thought
Beautiful views in a picturesque setting for sure is a sight to see. Tee boxes and greens in horrible shape. Pace of play was a nightmare ‘Death March’ with no Ranger to be found. Sand traps had craters that God himself would have struggled to get out of. Not worth the price outside of some amazing mountain pics.
Great course and conditions
Just people don’t repair ball marks not really there fault. Great golf course I loved it
Ehhh not great value
Decent course, but I just don’t see the value (weekend rate of $156). For the record I had a pretty good round (82), so this review isn’t about how I played.
Greens: inconsistent, a bit slow and many had a lot of ball marks. The ball didn’t roll great. To give it a rating id say a 3 out of 5
Bunkers: I know we’re in Covid times, but there shouldn’t be weeds growing in bunkers. That’s just lack of maintenance
Fairways were in good shape, tee boxes weren’t spectacular but not the worst, rough was pretty consistent.
I’d agree with other reviews, it’s a decent course, but is def showing signs of aging and could use some TLC. There are definitely better courses out there for your money.
Do not try to walk this course
Lakes is an excellent 9. Meadows and Fairways just meh. Best thing is that holes rarely run next to each other so you feel like you are all by yourself. But its a loooong way from green to the next tee on many holes so don't try to walk this course.
They treat you well here, and should, for $70.
I would play here a few times a year, but no more than that. Pick a nice fall foliage day for some pretty nice views.
What Happened to this Place
Course is starting to be a little ratty - especially the tee boxes. Also, the place was setup really short for a Saturday morning (2 par 5s were actually shorter than 450 yds from the whites.). This has always been a nice place to play but, for 100+ bucks on w weekend morning, the conditions need to be better.
Great Way to End the Summer
Course was in great condition. Greens were quick but fair once you got used to them. Staff was extremely friendly and on top of their game especially the woman who handled the carts and golf bags. Restaurant for dinner after round - friendly and quick service, plus the food was good!
Beat up Greens
This course is usually in good shape with the exceptions that the greens aree full of un repaired ball marks from the inconsiderate golfers that are just plain lazy to repair thier marks!
What is currently compounding the issue is the greens were aerated 4-5 weeks ago and are not recovering well.
Greens
The Greens on the front 9 were being airated couldn’t putt. Made the first nine unenjoyable. The Greens on the final nine were not airated ,but were in bad shape. Also a lot of sand traps were in bad shape. Overall not worth the 70 dollar greens fees.
Traps unplayable
After a heavy rain the sand traps were unplayable during an early morning round. When we checked in we should have been told about the conditions and should have been offered $30 or $40 off of the round. While we were out the grounds crew was going from hole to hole raking the sand traps which was also quite distracting. We had the grounds crew on 3 or 4 holes of the holes and the traps. So the traps were unplayable on those holes as well as 5 or 6 others.
Course is beautiful, but given the greens fees and the quality that I believe Centennial strives for, this was a subpar experience
