Dyker Beach Golf Course

The course is actually in the best condition I’ve seen in a few years. Thanks to the great work of our ground crew.

Although it is located deep in Brooklyn for me, I gladly make an annual pilgrimage because my Grandfather belonged here in the 30’s and 40’s and my Mom learned how to play there.

Greens were recently aerated so greens were tough. Sprinklers went off on about 5 different holes as we approached the green. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. The carts are a mess.

They were aerating the greens and didn’t let us know until we got to the course.

Had to play front nine 2x while back was being aerated…

Good news looks like finally they are putting sand into the lifeless bunkers

Wait 4 weeks then play this course

Quality is non existent, tee boxes are horrible, fairways & greens have more bare patches than any course I ever played, if it was free I might not play here.
Pace of play is terrible, 9 min tee times, and yet we had to wait 45 minutes to tee off after our scheduled time.
All around terrible course, should close there doors.

The greens were fine but the fairways were poor. Also, there is no water on the course. I almost died from thirst

Had not played here in a while, very pleased with course condition. Negatives were bunkers and cart paths, but fairways and greens were good. Very nice starter and round was played in 4 1/4 hours on a beautiful Monday afternoon

Course in good shape, staff very friendly. Never play on a weekend unless you can endure a 6 hour round.I don’t even think I would play during the week because I wouldn’t want to risk the pace of play again.

slow play, course not in the best shape. Maintenance oblivious to players. USed to be kept in better shape but always was very slow

A little muddy in spots. Heavy rain day before. Like different looks on holes.

Course very slow pace of play. Bunked are just rocks can’t play in them. Had first tee time in morning at 524, they still sent a group in front of us and when we asked to play through the person said he was a starter at the course on Sundays and we couldn’t play through them even with a twosome in carts vs them walking with 3.
