Very nice layout
The greens were excellent. The whole course was great. Had great round a 74 first time playing it.
Rogues Roost
We drive down from Canada to play Rogues Roost a couple of times a year. The greens are big and in great shape! The friendly staff are very helpful and will return many more times in the future!
Rouges Roost early June
Great course overall. Parts of the course were not in great condition for early June. Some standing water. Mud around the greens. But the course design is great. Plenty of challenging holes with different variations. Will definitely be back.
Very Nice
I have always enjoyed the rounds at the course. Have played both courses at the site and enjoyed both rounds. A little wet in the spring but over a good time.
Great greens
All courses in Upstate New York have been very wet this Spring. Rogues Roost is no exception. Having said that, the course is very fair, the staff are very pleasant, and the greens are quick and true. I know from past experience at the East course that the greens have a uniform speed and hold every time you play there. Spring, Summer and Fall. Fast and receptive! Really like this course.
Rogues East
With all the rain we have had I was shocked the course was even open, cart path only. The front nine wasn't that bad at all but the back nine was much wetter and needs time to dry! 5/3/2017
Fun local track with good layout
Was in the Syracuse area and decided to play this course according to golfadvisor.com reviews. Course conditions are well kept especially for a public course and staff was extremely friendly. Layout is pretty straight forward and course doesn't have my hills so it's walker friendly. Price on tee times is a steal especially when you catch a deal off golfnow. Would play again if in the area.
Well maintained course, but better deal.
Rogue's Roost East course was in excellent shape and there were few other players out. Nothing fancy, but nothing inadequate. Great weather capped off the round. Paying $10 to ride 18 thru Golf Now was unbelievable.
Nice course!
Course was in good shape, especially considering the drought in central NY. Staff was friendly and helpful, gave me an idea of what to expect on the greens before I went out. I had such a good time I went back two days later and played again, my experience the second time was just as good.
Great course for the average golfer
Greeted by friendly staff, course was in great condition. Weather was good. Fairways hard and greens fast. We enjoyed the entire game.
Great Value
Nice track, good people, great price (hot deal). basically a great value. fairways were hard, greens were fast mostly due to lack of rain, which is out of their control. look forward to playing again.
Good course
It's a basic, no frills course but it was enjoyable. Considering the lack of rain we have had it was still in nice shape. Pace of play was decent, a little over 4 hours for a foursome.
Great course
Played this course yesterday with one of my buddy's. The pace of play was a little bit slow but that was just because it was busy. Still came in around 4 hours for 18 which isn't horrible.
As for the course, we played from the tips which makes this course pretty long with most of the par 5s being over 550 yards. Great challenging course but the greens could have been a bit softer. That can be attributed to barely any rain in upstate NY in the last week.
Course Never Looked Better
I played the day after the Syr Post Standard qualifier - that is what I was told by the pro shop guy. He was very personable and very knowledgable. Course was in great condition. The greens were very fast and perfectly true. Didn't have a ball all day that didn't roll true. I have played the course at least 5 times before but this is the best it has ever been. Kudos to course maintenance personnel.
Challenging layout
Fairways and greens in nice shape.
Small but fast and soft greens
Nice course for money through golf now. No bargain without deal. Power lines through course. Greens smaller on east course than west.
Overall would play again.
Relaxing Round of Golf
Played at my own pace which was really enjoyable. The course in fun to play and in excellent condition. The greens were a bit tricky and quick.
