Nice course . Good green
Nice course, good green. But the smell was bad cause it is next to an animal farm.
Challenging but fair
Fairways and greens were in great condition. Challenging from the white tees especially the longer par 4’s. Great layout with forgiving trees lining the fairways.
Best deal around
Batavia CC is in great shape and the greens are in excellent condition. Staff are super cool too.
I play here at least once per week and I consider this course the best bang for your buck around!
Fun Layout and Enough Challenges
Played while visiting Rochester area for PGA Champ 2023.
Fun layout and enough challenges to keep us on our toes. Interesting in that it starts out with two par 5s on holes 1 and 2, so birdie opportunities right from the start. It was pretty wet and some showers but course seemed to hold up pretty well. Did get mud balls but that is unavoidable.
Played Up. Staff was friendly. No pull carts to rent for walkers but since we just played 9 it was not a big deal. Pretty easy walk to play. Would come back if in the Batavia area, then get some baby back ribs at Alex's Place!
Everything was great the play and the burgers are great best deal around
Better time management
Like the course overall although starting off with back to back par 5s can be tough. Layout is interesting and challenging. Staff is very friendly and maybe too friendly in that they don't really monitor people going out once they've paid We were happy to be told we could head right out even though we were 20minutes ahead of our teetime, but we ended up behind another twosome who were behind a foursome of 4 seniors; thus slow. Each shot was almost a 5 minute wait. At the turn one way or another the twosome got ahead of the foursome ,who never once offered us the chance to play through. So even though we stopped for a bathroom break we again had a 5 minute wait between shots. Ultimately an 18 hole found for just a twosome took over 4 1/2 hours. No starter,no ranger, made the pace enough to ruin my round.
Great Value
I got the Hot Deal on Golf Now so with convenience fee paid like a grand total of $15 for 18 riding. I was anticipating the course to be in rough shape for such a price however it was in good shape. Staff said greens were aerated ~6weeks ago; I found them to be a little slow but for the HotDeal would 100% play again.
Great Value
On Golf Now with cart played for less than $20. The layout is only fair for me as there were too many up and back holes, but the greens were consistent and true. Would definitely play here again for the same deal.
Great Course
This was our first time back to Batavia Country Club after playing there a lot in the early 90's. We always liked it back then and knew once many of the trees matured, it would be even better. Much more of a challenge now, yet very fair and playable.
Overall, a great course.
Greens aerated
Nether Golfnow or the course let us know that the back nine was closed and the front had been aerated a few days before our tee time (And I would recommend the course after the greens grow in )
Did you ask the 4-some in front if you could play through? Don't wait for them to offer!
