Not Recommended
And the $130 I paid was a Hot Deal. No water on the course. No cart vendor on the course. No port-o-john on the course. This was like a nice public course trying to pass off as some semi-private diamond in the rough. I'm certain you will find a $60 public course nearer to you more enjoyable and in as good condition.
Course is looking for exposure to get membership for next year
Good time for public to see the course
We needed a tee time, summit was able to accommodate.
Both parties were happy
Work in Progress
I played the Summit Club early in the season and the conditions were awful.
The layout is nice so I gave it a try again towards the end of the season.
The conditions had improved quite a bit, but it still has a way to go to be in excellent shape.
Acceptable
Pace of play Great. Not easy to navigate some tee boxes and elevated greens. Ok course nut not a go too!
Not sure what all the bad reviews are about
Clubhouse is being rebuilt so there's no frills (if that's what you're looking for) but the food truck they have is great, guys in the shop were very friendly, carts had Bluetooth speakers, and we finished in 3.5 hours. Can't ask for much more. Will definitely be back
Great staff, terrible course
I gave this course a chance because there weren’t a lot of availability in the area. Pace of play was great because no one was on the course, for good reason. This course is not in great condition (greens and fairways jacked up) and the layout is god awful. I got lost multiple times due to the terrible layout of the course. Price is just way too expensive for what this is.
Re-Invented
Ever played a course trying to re-invent itself?
Apparently this course operated for years as Brynwood CC before shutting its doors. The have now reopened with temporary public access for the Fall of 2023 before returning to a private club experience moving forward. There is no club house as they work on building a new one but the golf course itself is in very good shape and for a Saturday round, played at an amazing pace. Like most Westchester courses, there are some funky side hill lies and elevations to contend with but it’s a well kept, challenging course overall.
Disappointed
My husband & I drove up to see friends and stopped here along the way to play a round that we saw on the Golf Now web site. We were confused from the start. No signs anywhere to get to the driving range and no staff to help. We did not have time to warm up due to missing our tee time. Course is beautiful and scenic.
There were no bathrooms on the course.
We did not see any beverage cart the entire time we were out on the course which was disappointing.
Hidden Gem
I never knew this was here and will be returning very frequently. Very close to home and no nonsense, just go out and play. Played a 3 hour round on a beautiful 75 degree Sunday in August, not much more you can ask for. No restaurant here but they have a cart-girl who has all the snacks youll need. Staff is very friendly, course is very well manicured.
Hot Deal Only - Rip Off Alert
Get the “Hot Deal” only. If not it’s a completer waste of money.
This place is ran worse than a public course. No bathrooms on course, bring your own toilet paper. They also charge a “fee” when you use credit card to buy stuff yet they take no cash.
dont waste your money . this is not worth for price ! overpriced
i wont recommend the spend this kind of money for this course! i will say $90-$130 is ok but 200 is way too overpriced
Save your money
Friendly staff, and pace of play are only good thing about this glorified public course for private money. Was really disappointed. Save your money or go play pound ridge which is 5 star for same rate. Most public courses in west Chester are in better condition than this “private club”. There weeds everywhere, the greens are good, fairways - tee boxes and rough just not kept and manicured you would expect from paying 150 for round. Driving range you hit into a big hill. No amenities - they have a trailer for clubhouse, a food truck and porta potty all while they are undergoing their 3 year construction project to build clubhouse. They should charge 50 for this course - stay away.
Save your Money
Overall decent but has way to many things wrong or missing to garner such a ridiculous price. I’d play it again if it were price just like the rest of the clubs in the area. Waste of money 100% especially on a weekend. Makes sense as to why there are always tee times available.
An Upgrade from Westchester County Courses
Played the course late morning on a Sunday and was impressed by the fast pace of play. The conditions were very good and the layout offered a nice mix of challenging topography but still playable as an intermediate player. The price isn’t cheap but it is possible to find Hot Deal bargains even on weekends to temper the sting. All told, it was a nice splurge but don’t expect much for the 19th hole offerings. Would definitely recommend it to a friend.
