Great layout
Played round up for the first time with my wife and her friend. Very hilly but playable course. Lady friendly tee boxes. Cartpath really need work. Conditions were good but the overall layout of the chorus is pretty spectacular. Would recommend you try it if you're in the area. Great value
Course has some nice scenery especially on the 1st and 10th tee boxes.
Many holes are challenging and a lot slope down toward water hazards so hitting the ball fairly straight is a must on about 6 or 7 holes where danger comes into play.
The course can be a bit tough on players with higher handicaps 20+ and with a few penalties shooting under 100 is a fairly good outing.
courtesy
i placed a golf time and realized it was for the wrong date. there was no problem with the cancellation after I called and told the course what had happened.. they sent a text to let me know it was taken care of .
have tee times for this Friday . have played here before
Great Course
Most impressed with the greens, fast and true. Bunkers needed work but maybe because if recent rain.
Good value
Some interesting and challenging holes. Good value for what I paid. A very decent, hilly, "country-type" course. Course was consistently damp. Didn't try "amenities," so rated average.
A bit lacking
Greens were showing effects of being aerated and some greens had sand patches. One tee box used a mat because there was very little grass. Several fairways were lacking grass as well. Played this course several times and this was by far the worst condition it was in.
Unexpected Bumpy ride
Did not know the greens had been recently aerated, leaving very bumpy ride.
pleasant surprise
Hills are abundant and the greens are undulating but run pretty true. The pin placements on the day I played were a little testing. Great scenery, and a nice clubhouse. There is some water that comes into play.
Good value, nice layout
I'm a local golfer and have played rondout countless times, so it's about time I've reviewed it. The reason I always end up playing here is because there are such great deals on golfnow that I just can't pass up. Most of the year, rondout is in pretty good shape. If it rains profusely, it can end up being really wet, and if it hasn't rained in awhile it will be very dry. Overall, it's a good layout with plenty of water hazards and can play very difficult, especially from the back tees. When it's firm and fast it can be extremely tough. It always is a good test of golf. I would recommend it for its value because you can't beat the prices. The only thing is that if you play on the wrong day in the afternoon, you could very well get stuck behind a league and then your round becomes unbearably slow.
Nice
Nice course would play there again

Great day out
Great views, weather and course. Greens are always a little hard, which makes it difficult to stick the greens. Challenging course. Love playing here
Thank you so much for the great review! Views & Weather definitely help contribute to an awesome day out. We work hard to keep the course great for our golfers, and love getting such awesome feedback. We hope to see you again soon!
Pretty
Nice course in a somewhat remote area. A lot of water in play as well as up- and downhill play.
Thanks for taking the time to review the course! We're glad to hear you enjoyed it, come see us again soon!
Friendly Challenging & Budget Friendly
I play Rondout at least twice a month, excellently maintained and friendly helpful staff. Ivan's restaurant is an amazing value before or after the round. The greens are some the trickiest in the area and are well maintained. Great shape for early spring!
Thanks so much for taking the time to review the course! We work really hard for our golfers to have great experiences like yours, and love to hear such great feedback. We hope to see you a lot more during the season!
Nice course; great value
Nice course in need of some updates, but it looks fairly well maintained. Beautiful views, and a very pleasant round. It's the only 18 hole course in the area that I know of. The carts were in good shape, some of the paths were pretty beat up. You can tell there is a drainage problem. But for $35 bucks you can't beat it! Enjoyed it, and will definitely go back!
Thank you for the great review! We're really glad you enjoyed your time here and appreciate the feedback. We hope to see you soon!
Not worth what the reviews give it
Let me start off by saying I am NOT from the area. I have a very diligent process of finding great courses in areas that I'm not familiar with. All the reviews and website made me think I was going to find a gem in the Catskill Mountains. Boy was I wrong! When I got to the parking lot cars were parked in complete chaos. Golfers walking up to the 1st tee with cut off t-shirts. When I got to the pro shop, it was almost like I was non-existent. The man looked up didn't say anything so I started by saying my name and I had a tee time. He just told me the price and handed me a key and didn't say anything else. I had to ask to get any information like, is there a starter or is it just first come first serve on the tee? His reply was fit in anywhere you want. The twosome I was supposed to be paired with brought a twosome with them totally unannounced. When I arrived at the first T, the markers were pulled up so they could cut. And yes they were cutting Green and tea boxes while I was playing. One time I had to wait for the man to stop cutting the tee box. Most of the Green where in good shape but very slow and inconsistent. Some of the teeing areas, we're OK, but the fairways are atrocious and there is no difference between fairway and rough. The cart paths were so bad that 90 percent of the time I drove next to them.

Great course!
Soo happy we booked a tee time with Rondout! Very challenging...not the nicest fairways but ok..greens were nice and views breathtaking. I highly recommend this course. We also booked through GolfNow app which made check in seemless. Thanks again...oh and try the doggies on the turn...just like Yankee Stadium.
Thank you for the great 4 star review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your time here and appreciate your feedback. Visit us again soon!
Great track in need of renovation
I REALLY enjoyed Rondout Country Club golf course. It is a consistently challenging course with beautiful views in the Catskills Hudson Valley area. Clearly, the course is suffering from a lack of resources. The cart pathes are in desparate need of repairs, the fairways need watering, the tee boxes need to be cleaned up, divots repaired, etc., but underneath all of the cosmetic problems is an excellent layout that is very challenging, especially the par 5s. We got an incredible deal on golfnow, and I'd urge avid golfers to give this place a look and trial run. It was a very fun day, albeit frustrating sometimes.
Thank you very much for your feedback and review. We appreciate you visiting us. Do visit again soon. We'd love to have you.
Nice course
Nice course with some a great view of some of the Catskills from 1st tee. A challange for sure for the average duffer. Lots of water fast but fair greens. Had a great time playing. Played early morning, the 2 of us got around in about 3:45 there were others on course but pace of play was great. No slowdowns or anyone rushing us. Will return.
Thank you very much for the 4 star review. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will visit us again soon!
Good place TP play.
Have had a lot of rain, so fairways were very wet in places. Greens in very good shape.
Thank you for the review. We appreciate it. Visit us again soon!
Overrated
Greens are not in good repair other than 9 and 18. Early fees cheap because greens and t boxes not cut until after 0800. Tee boxes in less than fair condition. Cary paths very poor condition. Carts need to be reaves. Poor drainage.
We deeply apologize for your experience on our course. We do our best to keep up with our grounds. If you would like to address this matter some more, please do contact us. We hope you will visit us again soon.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review the course. We appreciate your feedback and your continued business. It's going to be a great season, we hope to see you again soon!
